About Belarus

Belarus is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe defined by its expansive forests and network of rivers.

The terrain is mostly flat and marshy, with the Neman, Pripyat, and Dnieper rivers shaping much of the landscape.

The capital city, Minsk, stands apart with a population of about 2 million as of 2021 and holds special administrative status. Winters here can be cold, dipping between −4 °C and −8 °C in January, while summers are cool and moist, making June through August the most temperate months for visits.
